Recently, two group standards, namely "Liquid Crystal Polyarylate Strengthening Component for Optical and Electrical Cables—Part 1: Liquid Crystal Polyarylate Fiber" and "Liquid Crystal Polyarylate Strengthening Component for Optical and Electrical Cables—Part 2: Liquid Crystal Polyarylate Fiber Reinforcement Rod," spearheaded by Ningbo Jujia New Material Technology Co., Ltd. and jointly participated by Chengdu Terry Communication Equipment Testing Co., Ltd., Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd., and several listed companies in the industry, have successfully passed the evaluation of multiple senior industry experts and been approved for initiation. Establishing LCP fiber standards in the field of optical and electrical cables holds significant value and profound implications. These two group standards fill the gap in domestic and international standards regarding liquid crystal polyarylate (LCP) fibers for optical and electrical cables. They will lay a solid foundation for the application of LCP fibers in China's optical and electrical cable sector, keep pace with international trends, and enhance the future economic value and market competitiveness of related products.
